* Playing Patience following the story of Zeke and Patience. On the outside these two as a couple don't make sense. Zeke, a bad boy in a band from the wrong side of town. He enjoys drinking, drugs, and a willing woman. Patience is an A student, soccer star, and follows the rules. These two meet for the first time in a dingy bathroom, where Zeke finds Patience drugged and barely contious. After dropping her off at the hospital and bailing, Zeke doesn't ever think he will see her again. But Patience seeks him out again and again. With his mother is dead and his father is an abusive alcoholic he knows he isn't worthy of Patience. But the two cannot deny the pull they share. As Zeke getting, Patience fears he will learn her secrets and be revolted.
*Perfecting Patience is the follow-up novella, which follows Zeke and Patience as they both try to deal with their horrible a pasts. It's hard for two people who have experienced so much pain to have a normal relationship.
