I cannot express how much I love this book series. It's not your average romance fomula that you have read a million times. Both Catherine and Jackson have both experienced deep emotional damage. This damage does not just disappear because they meet one another, they have to learn how to work through their damage. It's rare to find characters that are so lifelike, which makes this story feel like it just might be real. I also want to gush a bit about Jackson and his best friend, Mark. Two sex on legs Navy SEALs. Both alphas who lovely pick on each other like brothers. I find it hard to believe that any woman wouldn't fall head over heals for either Muffin or Twilight (you will have to read the books to find out how awesome and hilarious these call names for the guys are).
